Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what's needed to run a trustworthy marketplace, store it in the EU, and never sell it. The details follow.

What we collect

Account data (name, email), verification data (ID check results — not the documents themselves), listing and booking data, messages you send through Rently, and payment references handled by our payment provider Stripe. We don't see or store full card numbers.

Why we collect it

To run bookings and payouts (contract performance), to verify identities and prevent fraud (legitimate interest and legal obligation), and to meet platform reporting duties such as DAC7. Marketing emails only with your consent — every one has an unsubscribe link.

Where it lives and how long

All data is hosted in the EU. Booking and invoice records are kept for the statutory retention periods (up to 10 years under GoBD); everything else is deleted when you close your account.

Your rights

Access, correction, export, deletion and objection — email privacy@rently.app and we respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Skeleton policy — have counsel finalise before launch.
