What's not covered

  • Normal wear and tear — that’s what deposits and fair use are for
  • Damage from use the listing explicitly excludes
  • Items handed over outside a confirmed Rently booking

Trust & safety, built in

Both sides are ID-verified before any deposit moves. Deposits are ring-fenced with our payment partner and released the moment the return is confirmed — Rently never holds your money itself.

If something does go wrong, our dispute team steps in: report the issue within 48 hours of the return date, add your condition photos, and we mediate a decision — usually within 5 business days.

Your deposit is safe until you return the item — that's the promise.
