Terms of service
Rently is the marketplace; the rental contract itself is made directly between host and renter. These terms cover how the platform works.
1. The platform
Rently brokers rentals between hosts and renters and orchestrates payment, deposits and insurance as a technical service provider. Rently is not a party to the rental contract — that contract is concluded directly between host and renter when a booking is confirmed, based on the category's model rental conditions.
2. Bookings, fees and deposits
A booking becomes binding when the host confirms (or immediately, with instant book). Renters pay the rental price plus a 12% service fee. Deposits are held by our payment provider and released on confirmed return; they may only be applied to verified claims after the dispute process.
3. Your responsibilities
List only items you own or may rent out, describe their condition honestly, and return rented items as agreed. ID verification is required before deposits move. Misuse — off-platform payment circumvention, misrepresentation, prohibited items — leads to removal with a reasoned decision per our moderation policy.
4. Cancellation & disputes
Cancellation is free until 24 hours before the rental starts; later cancellations forfeit one day's rent. Issues must be reported within 48 hours; Rently mediates and decides deposit claims under the Rently Protect conditions.
